Zena Algae Peel
The Zena Algae Peel is a natural resurfacing treatment formulated with high-quality freshwater algae sourced from the lakes of Ukraine. The finely milled algae contains naturally occurring microscopic spicules that gently stimulate the epidermis, encouraging cellular renewal and supporting collagen production.
Rich in naturally occurring vitamins A, C and E, along with essential minerals, this intensive resurfacing treatment is designed to improve the appearance of acne, hyperpigmentation, melasma, uneven texture, fine lines and overall skin tone.
Unlike a traditional chemical peel, the Zena Algae Peel works through physical stimulation of the skin rather than exfoliating acids. Following treatment, the skin's natural renewal process is accelerated, helping reveal a smoother, brighter and more even-looking complexion.
Depending on the intensity of your treatment and your individual skin response, visible peeling or flaking may occur approximately 3–7 days following treatment.
Contraindications & Treatment Precautions
The Zena Algae Peel may not be suitable for clients with:

Open wounds, broken or compromised skin

Cuts, scratches or active skin lesions

Active herpes/cold sores or other infectious skin conditions

Active eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis in the treatment area

Rosacea that is active, inflamed or highly reactive

A history of hypertrophic or keloid scarring

Recent or excessive sun exposure, tanning, or an inability to consistently use SPF following treatment

Botox within the previous 2 weeks

Dermal filler within the previous 3 weeks

Chemical or professional resurfacing peels within the previous 4 weeks

Microneedling within the previous 4 weeks
Before your appointment: Prescription-strength retinoids, stronger exfoliating acids and other sensitizing actives should be discontinued in advance of treatment as directed by your provider. Lower-strength home-care actives may require a shorter discontinuation period depending on the product and your skin.
All clients are assessed prior to treatment to determine whether the Zena Algae Peel is appropriate for their skin type, current skin condition and treatment goals.
